Bakau is home to my Grandmother's church in The Gambia. Every visit, she'd make sure we'd get the proper welcome by attending service first thing on Sunday morning. I always felt once I went to church, the trip had officially started. It was the welcoming we needed before the spontaneous trips and excursions.
