Hand-carved in The Gambia

Adeyemi and Isatou capture the essence of a hard working West African couple. They, as most people in the village, play an integral role in their social and economic ecosystem. Adeyemi is a palm wine tapper and Isatou depicts a familiar image of a woman gathering water and food for her family or sell at the market.
